The Apple iPhone G3

There’s a reason why this phone is so popular, so what is its weak point?

The battery is. The battery is locked down inside the phone, so if you have a faulty battery, or if it is not holding a charge anymore, it needs to be sent apple to replace. If you are using 3G a lot, you WILL go through your battery. However, there are a few DIY videos on YouTube, for those who are not afraid to “Do-It-Yourself”.

Overall, the iPhone is definitely the first ever combination music player, web browser, and phone that actually delivers. There have been many combinations prior, but this is the first phone that mixes all three into one brilliant device. The phone has a seemingly infinite amount of options for applications (or "Apps"), giving almost everyone an app for something. The fairly large touchscreen interface and the integration with the applications also make it just amazing. The interface is a lot cleaner than most touch screen phones and the phone responds extremely well.

Here’s our breakdown:

Cons:

Unfortunately, the camera quality isn't as high as expected. Only having a 2-megapixel camera was a huge downer. Some people have even reported that the camera is too slow to respond, resulting in unintended photos. The resolution is pretty horrendous when compared to the likes of the 3.2 megapixel camera in the BlackBerry Storm. It doesn’t really matter how the lighting is, or how still your subject is, pictures tend to give poor results unless you are viewing them  in a thumbnail format. That combined with the odd battery setup, leaves a little to be desired. After all, since you’re supposed to send your phone back to Apple for battery replacement, it’s not so easy to just pop in a spare battery when yours dies.

having. The phone itself is a pretty amazing phone. The capabilities with it are endless with all of the applications out there. The average battery life is about 10 hours with decent use (texting, being on the web once in a while) and about 5 hours talk time. In standby, the phone battery last up to 300 hours.

Should you get the iPhone?

Unfortunately, the iPhone does not have the option of removing the battery so once the battery is shot, you're looking at getting a brand new iPhone or paying for the replacement of the battery. Overall, the phone is a pretty good mix between business and pleasure, giving access to endless possibilities for anyone. For general business or entertainment use, it really is a solid phone.

Pros:

The Apple iPhone is basically a device for everyone. The biggest thing with the iPhone is the applications and the interface of the phone itself. The only actual buttons on the phone would be the home button, the lock button, and the volume keys on the side. Everything else is completely touch screen and quick to pick up on because there aren't too many menus. It's web browsing is extremely simple to use and as close as you can get to a touchscreen laptop without actually
